For over a decade, James Hauke has been a dedicated Owner at Homes for Independent Living (HIL), A MyPath Company. His supervisors and co-workers would describe him as someone who demonstrates tenacity and growth and is as a valuable member of the Southeast Area team. James is also known for his meticulous work and compassionate nature toward his colleagues.

He has explored various company roles, including direct care, supervisory positions, and regional support positions. James is currently an Employee Support Specialist, a role that fits his skill set well. Reflecting on his journey at HIL, he expressed gratitude stating, “MyPath and HIL have given me an opportunity, the detailed work I enjoy and understanding to improve in my time here.”

He appreciates the stability that the job offers and embraces the dynamic, fast-paced nature of it. James thrives on the daily challenges and problem-solving opportunities that come his way and a commitment to get the work done regardless of external conditions.

James joined MyPath right out of college and acknowledged the unexpected alignment of the job with his skills and interests. He states, “To be fair I never thought I would be doing work like this. My own family was surprised when I found this job, even more so that it fit me so well. It’s nice knowing that even those who know me the best, can see how far I’ve come since working for HIL.”
