Amy's Story

Since joining Homes for Independent Living (HIL), A MyPath Company in April 2025, Amy has consistently demonstrated that her role is far more than a career—it is a calling. Seeking a professional path that offered both career advancement and deep personal fulfillment, Amy found her ideal fit within the HIL community, which she describes as a supportive family that values every co-owner and fosters collective potential. Amy’s Passion for the work she does every day is evident.

Since starting, Amy has proven to go above and beyond for everyone, clients and co-owners alike. Amy demonstrates Accountability by being an example for others daily. She came to HIL with a strong background in long-term care and enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with the team in the FOX Valley. She is a great resource for clients and staff and her door is always open. No job is too big or task to small for Amy to lend a helping hand, which shows her commitment to Teamwork.

The true heart of Amy shines when she is spending time in programs and interacting with clients. They light up when they see Amy arrive to a program. She takes pride in being able to share the likes and dislikes of clients, what their favorite color is, and always willing to lend a hand or an ear to anyone at programs. Amy’s Openness to her programs, clients, and co-owners makes her a well-respected Service Coordinator.

Compassion, honesty, and a caring attitude are Amy’s greatest traits that make her so successful in her role. She has also come out of her shell and enjoyed new experiences such as the Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build project. Amy’s Continuous Learning & Innovation has been mutually beneficial to HIL and her personal growth.

Amy has been a true model of MyPath’s Beliefs and Behaviors of Passion, Accountability, Teamwork, Openness and Continuous Learning & Innovation. She has been a fantastic addition to HIL & the FOX team and her career here has just begun!
