Rochelle's Story

Rochelle Gage, also known as Rachel, has held many roles during her six years as an employee-owner at Homes for Independent Living, A MyPath Company. She has served as a Service Coordinator, DSP, DSS, and most recently, an ESS. Rochelle was promoted thanks to her strong relationships with staff, attention to detail, creativity, and genuine compassion, supported by peer encouragement.

“I knew I had found the right place of employment the moment my first client smiled at me,” Rochelle said. She loves meeting people from diverse backgrounds, learning their perspectives, and collaborating with them. Rochelle believes strongly in the importance of growth at MyPath, saying that without growth, “you are dormant.” The nickname Rachel stuck after a client lovingly renamed her, and she embraces it.

Rochelle’s heart is full knowing she helps clients and coworkers succeed. She encourages others to join MyPath’s growing team and experience the joy of supporting our wonderful client community. MyPath has helped her build valuable skills, including learning not to “sweat the small stuff.”

Every day is different for Rochelle, and her willingness to help wherever needed makes her an asset to the ESS team. Her passion comes from love, which fuels her ability to nurture clients and support people of all ages and learning styles—work that can be challenging but deeply rewarding.

Rochelle knows she is making a meaningful difference and hopes others know the impact they have on her as well. “Every day I get up, I prepare myself for anything. I love what I do, and I’m glad I get to help mold new minds and refresh those who have been here a long while.” Rochelle is grateful for a supportive team that has helped shape who she is today.
