From her very first day at Homes for Independent Living (HIL), A MyPath Company, Sue knew she had found the right place to grow her career. This fall, Sue celebrates three years with HIL, where she serves as the Direct Support Supervisor for two programs in the FOX region.

Sue’s genuine compassion and caring nature have helped her build strong connections with clients and co-owners right from the start. Sue quickly demonstrated her willingness to go above and beyond. Over the past three years, she has cross-trained at other programs to support open shifts and has played a key role in training newly promoted or hired DSS team members.

Reflecting on her experience at HIL, Sue shares, “Caring for all our clients has brought so much joy to my life. We all feel like family.” As an employee-owner at MyPath, Sue takes pride in her work and values the accountability, initiative, and strategic thinking that define the team. “I love working here. We proactively solve problems together,” she says.

Sue’s enthusiasm for her role shines through in her daily interactions with clients. She finds great joy in discovering activities each client enjoys and spending quality one-on-one time with them. Sue understands the positive impact her work has on the lives of those we serve, and this sense of purpose brings her immense joy.
