Tantelier began her career with Homes for Independent Living (HIL), A MyPath Company, in 2019 as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and, through her dedication and growth, was promoted to a Direct Support Supervisor (DSS) in 2023. She believes her supervisor recognized her potential to step into a leadership role, making her promotion both exciting and meaningful.
For Tantelier, the most rewarding part of her work are the individuals she supports. She is passionate about helping her clients grow, succeed, and live full, meaningful lives. She appreciates that HIL offers real opportunities for growth—welcoming new team members brings fresh ideas and perspectives that strengthen the organization.
Tantelier emphasizes how rewarding this field can be. She wants others to know that the people supported at HIL are incredibly appreciative of the care they receive, and it is those relationships that keep her motivated and coming back each day.
Her promotion has helped her develop strong supervisory skills and continues to inspire her to keep learning and improving. In her role, Tantelier makes sure that both clients and staff have what they need for a successful day. She starts each shift by greeting everyone, making sure staff feel supported and clients feel seen and valued. Her presence is especially meaningful to her clients, who enjoy connecting with her in their own unique ways.
Through her experience, Tantelier has grown as a leader by learning, following, and implementing policies across programs.
